HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - It's been a month since Huntsville City Schools began their Summer Feeding Program. Through this program, children are offered three free hot meals each day.

They have served around 58,000 meals so far, which Interim Director of Child Nutrition Sonya Mastin said puts them right on schedule.

"Everything has been going great, we've had more than enough food.  We want more kids and more kids and more kids," Mastin said.

Durham Services buses continue transporting children to and from the sites each day as well. Mastin said the only aspect they want to reiterate is that the meals are offered through July 24th.
