The Better Business Bureau serving North Alabama has taken its popular Shred events to more places in 2015 and the results have been favorable as heightened awareness spreads and local people make sure their personal documents are securely destroyed.

Each free event provides on-site document shredding, hard drive destruction and even electronics recycling. As a courtesy to keep the lines moving, organizers ask that you bring no more than three bags or boxes of documents per person.  Cardboard and three-ring binders cannot be accepted.

Shred Day events are a partnership with WHNT News 19 and a way to help our viewers protect themselves.

There is one more event planned for this year.
