“I Grill Because I CARE” event coming in August

NEW HOPE, Ala. - The CARE Center, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to reduce poverty through education initiatives, employment resources, recovery programs, and emergency services is hosting the 3rd annual I Grill Because I CARE on Saturday, August 1, 2015 in downtown New Hope, Alabama. This is a Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned event and there is a $100 fee to enter the contest. This is a major fundraiser which contributes directly to the sustainability of all the programs and ministries of The CARE Center and especially Bags of Blessings, part of the Fuel Their Hunger to Learn campaign.

Come for the food, stay for the fun. Highlights include: water slide, bounce house, corn hole and live music.  Admission is free to the public. To learn more about the mission of The CARE Center, please visit thecare-center.org.  Meeks Family BBQ will be serving and selling BBQ plates with their special recipe!  Only $5 per plate and it includes all the sides.
