‘Fruit Fly Trap’ neither fruits, nor flies, nor traps

This is an archived article and the information in the article may be outdated. Please look at the time stamp on the story to see when it was last updated.

The “Fruit Fly Trap” costs $7.99 and claims to catch fruit flies.

It has a baited center tube you fill with water, and also sticky trap pads you put on either side of the tube.

We figured by putting a bowl of fruit a couple of feet away from the trap, we wouldn’t have any trouble catching flies.

We were wrong.

It didn’t catch anything.

Not a skinny bug/insect/critter of any kind met their doom in the Fruit Fly Trap.

If you have purchased the Fruit Fly Trap and had some success with it, let me know. I will happily update the story.

As for now, I’m going back to the fruit and hoping for a new version of a fly trip that works.
