UPDATE: Some Fourth of July events DELAYED around the Valley

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.– As the July 4th weekend approaches, cities are preparing for their annual Independence Day celebrations.

Check out this year’s list of fireworks shows across the Tennessee Valley.  We will continue to add to throughout the week.  Know of an event we missed? Please email the details to news.department@whnt.com.

Huntsville/Madison:

U.S. Space & Rocket Center’s 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza
Where: U.S. Space & Rocket Center
When: July 4
Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.
Parking for the event is $20 and can be bought online.

Village of Providence
Where: Free 4th of July fireworks and concert in Providence Park featuring the Scott Boyer Trio.
When: Saturday, July 4th, starting at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks to begin after sundown.
The Village of Providence will be hosting a free “Music in the Park” event on the 4th of July ending with a fantastic fireworks display.  The fireworks will be launched from the back of the stage this year so get a good seat in Providence Park for the concert and stay for the fireworks.  “Music in the Park” is part of The Village of Providence Free Signature Series Events. No outside food or drinks are allowed at the free events but many of the Village restaurants either have tents or offer delivery to the park during the event.  Here’s more information on Facebook.

City of Madison Stars & Stripes Forever July 4th Celebration and Fireworks Display
Where: Dublin Park, Madison
When: July 4
Fireworks will follow the 8 p.m. concert.
Admission is free.

Red, White, and Fun!

No show will take place this year.
Yes, there was a sign posted about July 3 Fireworks, but WHNT News 19 checked into it further and found out it was left up when the Shuckers left.

Fort Payne Fireworks

Henagar – 32nd Annual Sand Mountain Potato Festival
Where: Henagar Town Park
When: July 4
Sand Mountain is well known for its rich diversity of agricultural products, including potatoes. Celebrate its heritage with live music, arts and crafts, entertainment, games and fireworks. Event begins at 10 a.m. and culminates with a beautiful fireworks display.

Franklin County

City of Russellville
Where: Sloss Lake
When: July 4 ** Delayed until 5 p.m. due to weather**

Jackson County

Goose Pond Colony Resort’s Annual Fourth of July Celebration
Where: Goose Pond Colony, Scottsboro
When: July 4
Fireworks will begin at 9 p.m.
Admission is free.

Langston Firework Celebration 
Where: on the bridge, near South Sauty Cafe
When: July 4
Fireworks begin at dark
Admission is free

Lauderdale County

Shoals Spirit of Freedom Celebration
Where: McFarland Park, Florence
When: July 4
Festivities last all day and fireworks will begin at 9 p.m.

Lawrence County

4th annual fireworks show

When: July 5, 8:45 p.m.

Athens Fireworks Show
Where: Athens High School

When: July 4

Marshall County

Fourth of July Fireworks on Lake Guntersville
Where: Best viewed from Civitan Park and Lurleen B. Wallace Drive

Morgan County

Spirit of America Festival
Where: Point Mallard Park, Decatur
When: July 4
Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m.
Admission is free.

Giles County, TN

Pulaski/Giles County 4th of July Celebration
Where: Sharewood Park Amphitheater
When: July 4
Fireworks begin at 9:00 p.m.
Admission is free.

Independence Day Events Atop Lookout Mountain
Where: DeSoto Sate Park, Fort Payne
When: July 3 – July 4
Splish and Splash Pool Party kicks off the weekend Friday, July 3, from 6:30-9. There is a $1 per person admission fee. A flag making contest, ice cream social and parade ring in the holiday on July 4. Anyone can drive in the parade – decorate your vehicle to show your spirit!

4th of July Celebration
Where: Joe Wheeler State Park, Rogersville
When: July 4, 3:30-6:30
Bike and golf cart parade and contests for kids start off the day. Campers can also have their campgrounds decorated for a contest, but make sure you have this done by July 3!

Lake Guntersville State Park 

Bike Parade
When: July 4, 3:00 p.m.
Festively decorate your pike and parade around town!

Fourth of July Celebration
When: July 4, 8:00 p.m.
Bring your lawn chair and enjoy 4th of July by the beach listening to The Shii Ban.

Patriotic Pet Parade
When: July 5, 2:00 p.m.
Dress up your furry friends and parade with them around the campground!
