LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala. – The Lawrence County Commission voted 3-2 to terminate the  animal control agreement with Bobbie Taylor and Animal Rescue Shelter of Lawrence County, Alabama, LLC.

WHNT News 19’s story of a former volunteer’s allegations of abuse spurred anger and protests from animal activists across the Tennessee Valley.

Moulton Police Chief Lyndon McWhorter tells WHNT News 19 his department is continuing it’s investigation of the matter. He says a number of volunteers and other witnesses have been interviewed thus far.

The animal shelter director, Bobbie Taylor, spoke with WHNT News 19 to respond to the allegations. Taylor says she is the victim of a conspiracy and was set-up for the disturbing video we showed you.
