LAWRENCEBURG, Tenn. (WHNT) – The chief fire investigator at the Lawrenceburg Fire Department says he has a suspicious fire investigation on his hands.

The fire happened on Thursday in the 400-block of Nixon Avenue in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.

The chief investigator says witnesses saw a white female, approximately 20-30 years of age, walk between the two residences involved in the fire, 20 to 30 minutes before they started smelling smoke.

The woman had shoulder length brown hair that was in a ponytail and was wearing white or khaki ‘capri’ type pants and a light blue or lavender shirt with the sleeves rolled up.

Witnesses say the female was smoking as she walked in the area.

Investigators want to know if you saw this person or know who they might be.

A cash award is available through the Tennessee Arson Hotline for information that leads to an arrest or conviction.

You can reach the hotline at 1-800-762-3017.
