HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Sweet and savory faced off at Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen restaurant Thursday.
Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen is hosting a recipe contest. One Tennessee Valley local will have his or her side dish added to the menu for six weeks and win $250.
The finalists’ dishes were two southern favorites – a sweet potato casserole and a brussel sprout au gratin.
WHNT News 19 Interactive Content Producer Drew Galloway was selected to help choose the winning dish.
Hundreds submitted recipes for consideration, but both finalists were from the city of Madison.
The restaurant will announce the winning dish in the days to come.
