HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Alabama Industrial Development Training (AIDT) handles a lot of the hiring for the new Remington plant in Huntsville.

Assistant Director Lee Hammett says they've got a little over forty jobs up right now, but they will have "hundreds" by the end of the year.

Right now, they're looking for machine operators and maintenance technicians, which both require experience. However, Hammett says they also expect to have more assembly line jobs open up, which do not require experience.

He does point out that all the jobs require you to go through the AIDT pre-employment program, which he says should give people a taste of what it's like to work for Remington. The program takes several weeks, with meetings at night. He says it's to allow people to come do the training when they get off work at any job they may be at currently. The training is free. It's also unpaid.

You can find all the AIDT job openings here.

Hammett encourages people to follow along on the website, as it's updated with new jobs in real time.
