The force of impact caused Piccinich to hit another car that was stopped at a red light. The passenger in the third car was taken to Huntsville Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police say Ross attempted to flee, but some witness were able to detain him until police could take him into custody.

Officers on the scene say they noticed Ross was extremely intoxicated.

Ross was transported to the Huntsville/Madison County Metro Jail. He is charged with manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident.
