Start of Madison summer concert series delayed

MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) – The start of the Madison summer concert series is delayed.

The free concerts are from 6:30-8:30pm on Front Street in Downtown Madison.

They’re held each Thursday evening through July and are sponsored by the Madison Arts Council.

The first event was scheduled for Thursday, May 28 but canceled due to concerns about the weather.

However, organizers say they hope to see everyone out next week.

No seating is provided, so bring your lawn chairs or a blanket.

Well-behaved leashed dogs are always welcome.

This year, there will also be a food vendors on site, along with children’s activities.

  • June 11     Max Russell/Tres Locos
  • June 18     The Beasley Brothers
  • June 25     Microwave Dave
  • July 2          Madison City Youth Orchestra with Madison Community Orchestra/Musicology School of Music
  • July 9          Southern Splendor Chorus/Madison Community Band
  • July 16       Robbie Eichman/Ric Patton & the Chickenbone Reunion Band
  • July 23       JED Eye
  • July 30       Fender Bender
