Featured Job: Child Life Specialist- Part Time

The Child Life Specialist identifies the psycho-social needs of the pediatric patient and provides activities that are developmentally appropriate to satisfy those needs. Executes therapeutic and recreational activities and evaluates the patient’s response/progress toward normal age and behavior. Schedules volunteers to ensure smooth operation of the Child Life Program during the daytime hours. Acts as liaison for activities from the community.

 

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in family and child development, childlife, or related field.
  • Internship in Child Life supervised by certified Child Life Specialist.
  • Child Life Certification or eligibility to sit for exam.
  • Clinical experience in Child Life Program.

Candidate must have completed a child life internship of 480+ hours under the supervision of a CCLS.

Experience: At least 1-2 years of on the job experience in an acute care setting within a child life program.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Child Life Professional certification.

Child Life Certified or able to sit for exam. Previous child life experience preferred

Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
