HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Many of you have asked why you see smoke along I-565.  Everything is okay -- the Huntsville Fire Department is conducting a live fire training exercise on Holmes Avenue, just near Butler High School.

It's taking place at 3209 Holmes Avenue in a donated structure.  The fire started about 11:30 a.m. and it's burning pretty steadily right now.

The exercise will continue until about 4 p.m. today.  The road is open near the structure, but traffic is moving slowly.
