HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Huntsville Police say a man robbed Krispy Kreme Donuts late Tuesday night and was then caught a short distance away.

Police say the business called to report a robbery after 9 p.m.  A store employee said a white male came in the business acting like he had a gun and demanded money.  The man robbed the store and ran north on Oakwood Avenue, the employee said.

Police patrolled the area and found a man matching the robber’s description sitting in a car at America’s Best Inn, less than a mile north of Krispy Kreme.

Anthony Gregg Hoy, 34, is charged with first-degree robbery.  He was booked in the Huntsville/Madison County Metro Jail.
