DECATUR, Ala. – Authorities gave the “all clear” to employees and customers at the Wells Fargo branch on Beltline Road after the building was evacuated Wednesday afternoon.

Decatur Fire & Rescue Chief Anthony Grande said several people in the building reported a burning sensation in their throats, causing them to cough. As a precaution, the building was evacuated.

Grande said emergency responders assessed multiple people and found no obvious source of the coughing.

The building was checked by first responders and employees were allowed to return to work.
