Washington, DC (WHNT) – World War II and Korean War veterans from Tuscaloosa were in Washington, DC today for their Honor Flight.

The group toured national memorials and met with U.S. Senator Richard Shelby.

“This experience was both humbling and exciting, as these Alabama veterans had the opportunity to view the national memorials dedicated to their selfless service to our country,” Sen. Shelby said after meeting with the veterans. “The valor and patriotism of our service members must never be forgotten nor taken for granted.”
