HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Huntsville police released a list identifying DUI 'hot spots' to set up safety checkpoints this month.  I-565, Memorial Parkway, and University are just some that made the list.

Officers say the checkpoints will be conducted at 11 spots, as well as other random places around the city.  Police will be looking for any driving violations.  This is because during the summer months more people are out on the roads and the amount of drinking increases.

A grant from the North Alabama Traffic Safety Office is funding the overtime for officers of all agencies during the campaign.
