HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Walmart launched the "Fight Hunger, Spark Change" campaign to make people aware of the fight against hunger. This nationwide initiative is a partnership with Feeding America, the Food Bank of North Alabama and other Feeding America food banks across the country.

Everyone can get involved in the national campaign.  All a person needs to do is purchase participating products at Walmart, donate at a Walmart register, or snap a photo on your phone and post it to social media. When posting the picture, it must include six people to highlight the one in six people who face hunger every day. Then, make sure the hashtag #WeSparkChange is included.  For each posting, Walmart will donate $10. To help generate more donations, people can post multiple pictures and challenge their friends to take their own photo within 48 hours.

Walmart hopes to secure the equivalent of 75 million meals on behalf of the Food Bank of North Alabama and other food banks.
