House on Mariposa Road in Huntsville damaged by fire

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Huntsville Fire & Rescue was called to put out a fire at an unoccupied home.

Huntsville fire crews tell WHNT New 19 that the fire started in one of the back bedrooms of the home in the 3500 block of Mariposa Road.

No one was home at the time. Neighbors called 911 to report the fire.

A third of the house has fire damage, while the rest of the home has smoke damage.
