ARAB, Ala. (WHNT) -- Arab Police are working to get more information to charge two people involved in a gas station drive-off -- over 14 cents.

Security camera footage shows it all -- last month, two people bought gas from Don's Convenience Store in Arab.

The footage shows them driving off after pumping gas, owing 14 cents, and ruining the pump in the process.

Now they're the subject of a police investigation, and Arab Police are working to get more information to charge them. "We do know who they are," Assistant Chief Shane Washburn says, "We put the video out, the pictures, and people from the community positively identified them."

Police say the two people are Samantha Hill and B.J. Goble. The two have not been arrested yet. "Right now we're waiting on the victim to come up with an estimated amount, how much it will take to repair the gas pump," Assistant Chief Washburn says.

He says that could mean the difference in degree of charges. "Depending on the dollar amount depends on what we're going to charge them with, whether it be a felony or a misdemeanor," Assistant Chief Washburn says.

Arab officers say as soon as investigators get the information about the damages they'll proceed with the charges.

The owners of the convenience store say they are working to get that information to the department as quickly as they can.
