MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) – Governor Robert Bentley is in Madison today to join city and county leaders for the opening of the new interchange at Interstate 565 and County Line Road.

The Alabama Department of Transportation has been working on this project since 2013.  This will be the second interchange within Madison City limits.

Governor Bentley spoke at the event, along with several city and county leaders, including Madison Mayor Troy Trulock, State Representatives Mike Ball and Mac McCutcheon and Madison County Commission Chairman Dale Strong.

All say the interchange will help ease traffic flow and be a benefit to job creation in the area, as more people drive on County Line Road to get to new companies that are building nearby.
