SATELLITE BEACH, Fla. (CNN) - Crews in Florida worked all night to save 19 manatees stuck in a storm drain.  Crews cut open the pipes, then used machinery to lift the giant sea mammals out one by one.

Wildlife officials believe the animals swam into the canals looking for warmer water.

Local police and fire officials worked with experts from Sea World and Florida's Fish and Wildlife Commission to free the manatees.

Some of the animals had scrapes, but it appears none were seriously hurt.  Workers cheered as the animals were lifted out one by one.
