UAH Women Upset Attempt Falls Short

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) -  The University of Alabama in Huntsville took No. 23 Union down to the wire at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall on Saturday afternoon, despite dropping the Gulf South Conference matchup by a final score of 64-62. UAH slips to 11-16 (8-13 GSC), while UU improves to 22-3  (18-3 GSC).

Halle Jarnagin posted 20 points to lead the Chargers offensively and shot 50 percent (7-for-14) from the field. The junior also pulled down seven boards and had one block in her 26 minutes on the court.

Union's offense came out in full force at the outset of the first period as the Bulldogs held a 14-6 lead at the midway point of the half. UAH bounced back going on a 9-1 run to take a 20-18 advantage with five minutes to go until the break. However, Union battled to regain the lead and went into halftime with a 33-20 advantage.
