BOAZ, Ala. (WHNT) — A man is facing charges for possession and production of child pornography.

Boaz Police Department arrested Kenneth Wayne Ennis at his Boaz home Thursday morning. Police say Ennis is charged with four counts of possession of child pornography and four counts of production of child pornography.

Officers say the investigation began when a cell phone was found in the parking lot of a Boaz business. We’re told while trying to find the owner of the phone, images were found on the phone that were believed to be child pornography. The phone was turned over to Boaz Police and a search warrant was obtained for the phone.

The Electronic Crimes Task Force in Hoover completed a forensic analysis of the phone and located the four images. Police say right now they don’t know if the child in the images knows Ennis.

When Ennis was arrested a search warrant was executed for his home and several computers and other electronic devices were taken. Police say a those devices will be searched and say more charges are possible.

Ennis was transported to the Marshall County Jail on a $500,000 bond
