Colbert County man dies after being hit by vehicle on Hwy. 157

COLBERT COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – A Leighton man died from injuries he received after being struck by a vehicle late Tuesday evening.

According to emergency personnel, the incident was reported just after 10 p.m. on Highway 157 in the White Oak community, about four miles south of Muscle Shoals.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says David Marshall Doll, 31, was walking on the roadway of 157 near County Line road, when he was struck by a 1998 Dodge Ram.  The truck driver was headed south.

The driver stopped and stayed at the scene.

Doll was taken to Helen Keller hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

A gofundme account has been set up to help raise money for Doll’s family.  He did not have life insurance.
