Huntsville City Schools extends registration for magnet programs

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Good news for students looking to apply for Huntsville’s magnet program — the deadline for applications has been extended.

The school system said due to the overwhelming interest in the programs, the application window has been extended to Friday, Feb. 20.

The Huntsville City Schools system offers seven programs — with concentrations in fields such as computer engineering, law and the performing arts.┬áThere are four “magnet” high schools, one middle school, and two K-through-8 schools.

Applications may be completed online through the school system’s website.
