ATHENS, Ala. (WHNT)- Athens High School makes a food drive into something more.
Students have collected food for The Full Tummy Project over the last two weeks. In that short time period they were able to collect 3,000 dinner items, over 700 juice boxes, 1,400 fruit cups, and 1,400 peanut butter crackers. All that food will help feed children over the weekend who rely on school meals during the week.
The students added a twist to the community service project by turning it into art. They also added slogans with their works of art to bring awareness to The Full Tummy Project.
