Featured Job: Technical Writer
This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining user documentation for our clients Computer-Aided Dispatch product suite, including online Help, technical manuals, troubleshooting guides, and various release documents, using AuthorIT and Microsoft Word.
The candidate will work in a high performance agile/scrum team of mixed disciplines.
Candidate is required to participate in design and development discussions, and will execute and help test the software to produce comprehensive, accurate, and easy to follow documentation.
Will track, manage and resolve documentation defects using a defect management system (JIRA and Siebel).
Will employ excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Special Skills)
Requires B.S. degree/equivalent in Technical Writing or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in producing technical software user documentation in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Experience with AuthorIT and Microsoft Word is required.
Master’s Degree or an advanced certification, along with experience in the Public Safety environment is a plus.
