MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) - A coal train that stalled and impacted traffic in northeast Madison County has been cleared from the area. Traffic is moving again smoothly in the area of Ryland Pike and Dug Hill Road.
It started moving again just before 8 a.m. It had been stuck since after 6 a.m.
The stalled train stretched from Moontown Road past Jordan Road.
Many motorists turned around to avoid it, including at least one Madison County school bus.
