Lincoln County murder-suicide victims identified

LINCOLN COUNTY, Tenn. – The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department has identified the victims of a Wednesday evening murder-suicide.

The Sheriff’s Department said Lincoln County 911 received a call Wednesday at 8:10 p.m. that a man who possibly killed his girlfriend was going to kill himself.

Deputies talked to some family members who were able to tell them that the man had made those statements.

When deputies arrived at the residence on Coldwater Creek Rd., the found two bodies, one male and one female. Both had had been shot to death, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.

The victims were identified as April Grogan, 44, and Jen Doug Stovall, 49.

The Sheriff’s Department said these deaths are the result of a murder-suicide.
