Muscle Shoals police work to ID man who broke into Verizon store

MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. (WHNT) – Surveillance cameras captured a man breaking into a cell phone store on New Year’s Eve, and Muscle Shoals police hope you can help identify him.

Muscle Shoals police said the burglary happened just after 2:30 in the morning on New Year’s Eve.

According to investigators, the man walked up to the front of Verizon Wireless on Avalon Avenue and smashed his way in with a sledgehammer.

Once inside the burglar headed straight to the back of the store.

Police said when he realized there was nothing to steal, he immediately left.

In and out in 25 seconds, but police hope you will recognize him in the surveillance picture.

Also, Franklin County authorities are searching for a couple of burglars as well in this week’s most wanted.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department has three people they are looking for in this week’s most wanted.

18-year-old Christopher Lee Davies is wanted by authorities on a warrant for theft of property.

Next up is 22-year-old Stephen Wayne Busch. He has arrest warrants in Franklin County for burglary, theft of property, and criminal mischief.

Wrapping up the most wanted for this week is 21-year-old Ashley Leighann Hughes. Deputies say she has warrants for burglary, theft of property, and criminal mischief.
