TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WHNT) - A Decatur native -- and former University of Alabama football player has lost his home in a fire.

Rolando McClain's house on Lake Tuscaloosa burned late Monday night.  Someone spotted the fire on Waters Edge Drive about 6 p.m.

McClain currently plays for the Dallas Cowboys, and he was reportedly not in the state of Alabama on Monday.  The lakeside mansion is his off-season home.

It's listed for sale on several websites for $1.5 million.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.  The fire marshal has been called in.
