Pettway Makes the Most of His 2nd Chance

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WHNT) - D.J. Pettway came back to Tuscaloosa earlier this year with a new lease on life and a second chance.

His story is well-known. He was arrested in February 2013 on second-degree robbery charges and dismissed along with teammates Eddie Williams, Tyler Hayes and Brent Calloway. .

Pettway, who won national championship rings in 2011 and 2012, went to East Mississippi Community College in 2013, where he won a junior college national championship.

But he was given a second chance to return to Alabama and took it, despite interest from several other SEC schools.
