HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Kim Dickens’ career is at an all time high.

She is the actress from “Gone Girl” who just landed a leading role in the “Walking Dead” spinoff.

Dickens drew raves this year for her performance as Det. Rhonda Boney, the lead investigator in the critical and commercial hit adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s 2012 best-selling thriller “Gone Girl.”, According to our news partners AL.com.

One of the cool thing about Dickens: She’s from Huntsville and graduated from Lee High School.

In the untitled “Walking Dead” spinoff, Dickens will star as a guidance counselor trying to survive in the zombie-infested world with her two children and boyfriend.

The hometown girl has had a big Hollywood career with roles in plenty of television series and blockbuster movies.
