HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - There is something about helping others that warms the heart.  Here in the Rocket City, a local church gave an extreme room makeover to a child who is terminally ill.

Aiden Strickland is 7 years old, and loves superheroes just like many children.  He wanted an Avengers and Spiderman room.  So, Refuge Church in Huntsville got to work.  They spent two days making over Aiden's new room.

Church members applied new paint and put up a superhero mural.  They included the Hammer of Thor and the indestructible shield of Captain America.
The web-slinger Spiderman even made an appearance.

Volunteers completed the room with a handmade cut-out of a city scene.

All this time, all this effort for little Aiden, a child described as being filled with joy and hope.  Aiden and his family love the new room.

In addition to the makeover, Refuge Church also gave Aiden a Toys R Us shopping spree with Captain America.  How cool!  They went around the store and got lots of great toys.
