The CARE Center has new thrift store in New Hope

MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) - The CARE Center has a new thrift store in New Hope called 'Pickers on Main,' and workers would love for you to pay them a visit.

'CARE' stands for Community Assistance Resource Effort.  The CARE Center is a multi-denominational partnership of Christian churches whose mission is to impact southeastern Madison County by reducing poverty through education initiatives, employment resources and other outreach efforts. Pickers on Main fits right along those lines.  It is a consignment shop providing jobs and educational opportunities.  The store is located at 5439 Main Drive in New Hope.  The phone number is (256) 723-CARE (2273).

The thrift store offers a variety of items for men, women and children as well as for the home. Items are in good condition and at affordable prices.

There are classes on Tuesday and Thursday that are open for women seeking to change their lives.
