Armed robber strikes two Huntsville businesses

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Investigators believe the same man hit two dollar stores in the Rocket City Friday night.

Police first responded to calls for help at the Family Dollar on Triana. An hour later, police were called to the Dollar General at 4061 Independence Dr NW after reports of a man with a gun demanding cash.

Police do not have anyone in custody and did not have a suspect description to provide the media yet.

No injuries were reported at either robbery.
