Wednesday’s record cold start

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Another day of cold temperatures in the Tennessee Valley.

Huntsville tied a record low at 3 a.m. with a temperature of 21 degrees.

The picture included tells the story.  It shows frost on a car at a dealership on South Memorial Parkway near Drake Avenue in Huntsville.

Meteorologist Ben Smith says we can expect a milder afternoon today.  However, the temperatures will still be below average.
