Boeing to cut some Huntsville employees related to SLS program

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Wednesday, Boeing said a small percentage of its 1,000 Huntsville employees will be issued layoff notices on Friday, according to our news partners at The Huntsville Times and AL.com.

A Boeing spokesperson did not have exact numbers or details pertaining to the layoffs, but said that they were related to NASA’s Space Launch System.

Employees issued a layoff notice will work through late January. The company will try to place the employees at other locations within the company, the spokesperson said.

More details are expected to be made available. WHNT News 19 is working to gather more information about these layoffs. We will update you on air, online, and on social media when we learn more.

    More layoffs will be happen across the board for Huntsville Military & Space Programs as the Federal cuts that have been planned & approved by Congress for the last 2 years are taking effect!!!
