ALBERTVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Two people were injured Tuesday when a car slammed into two flagpoles in front of the City of Albertville Library on Jackson Street.

WHNT News 19 is working to find out more about the two people injured.  We understand both were taken to a nearby hospital.

The flagpoles knocked down had the State of Alabama flag and the U.S. flag.  A third pole, flying the City of Albertville flag, was not damaged.

The wreck happened about 2:15 p.m.  It appears the driver lost control coming over the railroad tracks which are next to the library.  The car involved is a small white sedan.
