Elkmont, Ala. (WHNT)- A fire destroyed a woman’s home in Limestone County overnight.

Firefighters from Elkmont and Owens responded to a call on Highway 127 just after 11:00 p.m.

We are told the homeowner may have suffered minor smoke inhalation.

She was treated at the scene and is now staying with a relative.

Firefighters are still investigating the cause of the fire.

The home is considered a loss.
