Wreck shuts down southbound lanes on Memorial Parkway

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT)- A wreck on Memorial Parkway near Hobbs Road caused southbound lanes of Memorial Parkway to shut down.

An SUV, pickup truck, and sedan collided at the intersection just before 6:30 Sunday evening. The sedan sustained significant head-on damage. Both the SUV and pickup had frontal damage as well.

Huntsville Police, Fire, and HEMSI responded to the scene. HPD proceeded to shut down the southbound lanes between Hobbs Road and Redstone Road. Traffic in all other directions at the intersection continued to flow normally.

HEMSI Chief Operating Officer Don Webster tells WHNT News 19 that one individual was transported to Huntsville Hospital Trauma Services. Webster adds that individual is in stable condition.
