HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Wondering who financially supports your candidate of choice in the upcoming Congressional election?

Now you can “follow the money” online and see exactly who’s giving what to different candidates.

The Center for Responsive Politics has created, which provides a huge amount of information about national-level candidates, including congressional and presidential races.

An overview for Alabama’s District 5 race, for example, has a helpful table for the 2014 campaign cycle, including fundraising totals for Republican incumbent Mo Brooks and Independent challenger Mark Bray. There are also spending totals and cash-on-hand tallies.

While a profile is unavailable for Bray, Brooks has an in-depth profile available, showcasing his fundraising totals for this election cycle, as well as a Top 5 contributors list – including Northrop Grumman, Boeing and Lockheed Martin.

The Center for Responsive Politics is a research group tracking money in U.S. politics and “its effect on elections and public policy.” The group is “nonpartisan, independent and nonprofit… and aims to create a more educated voter, an involved citizenry and a more transparent and responsive government.”
