Soldier heroically carries out duties

Paul J. Narcisse, Jr. served with the United States Army. During Operation Desert Storm, Paul J. Narcisse, Jr. was serving with the 229th Attack Helicopter Regiment. On 27 and 28 February 1991 he distinguished himself by his heroic actions.

With complete disregard for his own personal safety, he traversed a battlefield laden with unexploded munitions in order to establish the Brigade Forward Arming and Refueling Point, which was located only a short distance from Iraqi Republican Guard forces. For his heroic actions on those dates, Paul J. Narcisse, Jr. was awarded the Army Commendation Medal with Valor.
