Man sentenced to 30 years for killing his cousin over borrowed movies
LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – A judge sentenced Kenny Dewayne Adams to 30 years in prison Thursday morning.
A jury convicted Adams of murdering his cousin, Yancey Metz Foster, in August. The murder happened on New Year’s Eve in 2012. It happened at Foster’s trailer just off Blackburn Road. Adams went there to get two DVDs.
Adams had faced a number of criminal charges in the past, including burglary and domestic violence.
Limestone County District Attorney Brian Jones expressed his satisfaction with the sentencing. He says he hopes it will bring closure for the family.
