HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT )– A judge has accepted 18-year-old Berhe Starling’s guilty plea to unlawfully carrying a pistol.

Starling was charged for that last July. He will serve 60 days in jail consecutively and must pay a fine.

It’s the same man charged with manslaughter in the death of Huntsville homeless man Mark Pridmore last month.

In that separate case, police say Starling punched Pridmore at a gas station on University Drive, and the injuries Pridmore received led to his death in the hospital days later.

Starling is set for a preliminary hearing on the manslaughter charge on November 5th.
