ATHENS, Ala. - The Pink Elephant Luncheon is held by the Athens-Limestone Hospital Foundation to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer.
This fundraiser will benefit Athens-Limestone Hospital's Pink Elephant Fund. This organization uses these funds to provide free mammogram screenings, raise breast cancer awareness, and to purchase new breast cancer technology.
The 7th Annual Pink Elephant Luncheon is on October 15 at the Limestone County Event Center in Athens. There are a lot of fun activities planned for this event. The doors open at 11 a.m., which starts the "Pink Hour."
During this hour, there will be a Smithsonian Exhibit called "How We Worked." This exhibit is said to take you back in time. "Pink Hour" will also have a Painted Bra Exhibit and the Pink Elephant Raffle.
