Gate 9 maintenance project to impact traffic Oct 9 – Oct 14

REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. – The Department of Emergency Services along with Directorate of Public Works will conduct routine maintenance at Gate 9 from Oct 9 to Oct 14.

During these days, lanes at the gate will be closed at times of low travel and be at normal capacity during peak travel times.

The general schedule of work is:

Thursday, October 9

Outbound

  • 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. One lane open
  • 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. All lanes open for lunch
  • 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. One lane open
  • 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. All lanes open for departing traffic
  • 6 p.m. – midnight One lane open

Inbound

  • 6 a.m. – 9 a.m. All lanes open for morning traffic
  • 9 a.m. – 1130 a.m. One lane open
  • 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. All lanes open for lunch
  • 2 p.m. – midnight One lane open

Friday, October 10

Outbound

  • Midnight – 11:30 a.m. One lane open
  • 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. All lanes open for lunch
  • 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. One lane open
  • 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. All lanes open for departing traffic
  • 6 p.m. – midnight One lane open

Inbound

  • Midnight – 6 am One lane open
  • 6 am – 9 am All lanes open for morning traffic
  • 9 am – 11:30 am One lane open
  • 11:30 am – 2 pm All lanes open for lunch
  • 2 pm – midnight One lane open

Saturday, October 11 – Tuesday, October 14

Outbound

  • Midnight – 6 a.m. One lane open
  • 6 a.m. Tuesday, All lanes open

Inbound
