Fraternal Day is an Alabama State holiday established in 1914 celebrating the fraternal spirit of America that bonded together "peoples of a variety of country, sects, and opinion. "
Coinciding with Columbus Day and Native American Day, the official Fraternal Day is the second Monday in October. This year, a celebration is planned for Sunday, October 12th at the Hogan Family YMCA in Madison from 1 pm to 4 pm.
This is a free, family-friendly event.
