Home damaged in overnight fire in Somerville

MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT)-  An overnight fire heavily damaged a home in Somerville.

It happened just before 10:00 pm Monday evening on Center Springs Road.

Volunteer firefighters from Somerville and Cotaco responded to the call.

They were able to douse the flames quickly, but battled hot spots for several hours.

The man who lives in the home was not hurt.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
